JUNIOR SHOW INFORMATION FOR PARENTS

- Saturday, May 5th - Super Saturday Practice (at Marble Valley Academy). Juniors practice 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Please come in casual attire, and feel free to send a snack with your child. This is where we practice the opening and closing numbers as a complete company.
- Your child's costumes will be given to you on Super Saturday. Please arrive at MVA between 11:30 and 11:50 so that we can physically hand you their costume bag! This is super important to prevent any costumes from getting misplaced. You will be responsible for bringing the costumes to all dress rehearsals and shows!
- If you are volunteering to be a dresser, there will be a MANDATORY DRESSERS' MEETING AT 12:00 P.M. (right after practice). This should be a relatively brief meeting and will provide important information about how the backstage will operate during the show.
- Monday, May 7th - Junior Show Dress Rehearsal 4:00-6:30 p.m. Please arrive at Oak Ridge High Theater (1120 Harvard Way, EDH) by 3:45 if possible, in street clothes, with changing clothes underneath (i.e. leotard and white tights for girls (with black ballet shoes to change into), compression shorts and black socks for boys). Please bring all costumes labeled and in a garment bag. Girls should have the front of the hair pulled back in a clear hair tie as pictured in the attached photo (this is necessary so we can attach bows to the hair for each number). Please, no jewelry.
- Wednesday, May 9th - Junior Show Dress Rehearsal 4:00-6:00 p.m. at Oak Ridge High Theater (arrive at 3:45 if possible). The notes above regarding attire apply to Thursday's rehearsal as well. Bring all costumes!
- Friday, May 11th and Saturday, May 12th - Junior Show 5:30 p.m. Bring all costumes! Call time is 4:30 p.m. at the Oak Ridge High Theater.
OTHER INFORMATION
- Please purchase your tickets from the MVA front office ASAP. You may purchase at the door, but we are unable to apply your $64 theater credit at the door. You will have until Friday, May 11th at 3:00 p.m. to purchase tickets in advance. Please see Dagny to do so!
- When you purchase tickets, you may also pre-order candy leis or flowers for your performer. If you do not pre-order, there will be a limited quantity available for sale on show days.
- If you have purchased program space for a dedication, please email me your photo in JPEG format along with the verbiage of the dedication ASAP. At this point, we have sold out of dedication space, so no additional spaces can be purchased.
- A reminder regarding the items your child will need for all dress rehearsals and shows (if you are having any problems finding these items, please let us know):
- All Junior Girls: nude colored camisole leotard, white tights (several pairs as they get ruined easily), long sleeve black scoop neck leotard, black opaque tights, black ballet shoes (no substitutions with black flats please).
- All Junior Boys: compression shorts for changing, black pants, white button down long sleeve shirt, black socks.
- In Addition, the following classes need a few additional items:
- Stardust Boys (Miss Ally's Class): White short sleeve t-shirt
- Starbright Boys (Miss Natalie's Class): White pants
- Starlight 1 Boys (Miss Emily's Class): White pants
- Starlight 2/3 Boys (Miss Kira's Class) - White pants, blue jeans, white long sleeve t-shirt or turtleneck
